Miyoo N64 Ports

Miyoo N64 Ports: N64 games for the Miyoo Mini

Works on MiniMini PlusMini v4Mini Flip

How to install

First, which system is on your Miyoo?

  1. Download the game

Press Download on a game above, or on the All Game Pack to get every game at once.

  2. Copy it to your SD card

Put the Miyoo's SD card in your computer. Unzip the download and copy the App and Roms folders onto the card, merging with the folders already there. The zip's other folders are for other systems: skip them.

Windows: drag the folders onto the card and choose to replace the files. Mac: don't drag them in Finder, see On a Mac? below.

  3. Add your ROM

Rename your ROM to rom.z64 and put it in the game's folder. Any .z64, .v64 or .n64 dump works. Which ROM, under each game, says which version it needs.

    SD card
    App
    MarioKart64 (the game's folder)
rom.z64 ← your ROM goes here
  4. Play

Put the card back in the Miyoo and start the game from Ports or Apps. The first start takes about a minute. After that it's quick.

Common questions

Don't want it in Apps?

On Onion each game shows up in both Apps and Ports. Both open the same game. To keep it in Ports only, delete config.json from the game's folder:

SD card
App
MarioKart64
config.json ← delete this

Mac shortcut: with the card in, paste this into Terminal and press Return. It does every game at once:

Terminal
rm -f /Volumes/*/App/{PerfectDark,MarioKart64,DiddyKongRacing,OcarinaOfTime,GoldenEye,FZeroX,StarFox64,PaperMario,SuperSmashBros,SuperMario64}/config.json

Your ROMs and saves aren't touched. Updating a game brings config.json back, so delete it again after an update.

Don't see Ports?

Turn it on: go to Apps › Package Manager and switch on the Ports Collection. Or just start the game from Apps.

On a Mac?

Don't drag the folders in Finder: if it asks, Replace deletes the whole folder on the card, with your other apps and saves. Use Terminal instead, which only adds and updates files:

  1. Type unzip -o (with the space).
  2. Drag the downloaded zip into the window.
  3. Type -d (spaces both sides).
  4. Drag the SD card in and press Return.

Safari already unzipped it into a folder? Type ditto --norsrc --noextattr , drag that folder in, type a space, drag the card in, and press Return. Either way it copies every folder, which is fine.

Updating a game?

Download it again and copy it over the old one, the same way. Your ROM and saves stay.
